Hi everyone!! i know i'm a horrible blogger! *covers face* but i'm sooo excited to share with you my successes and happy and sad days since my exhibition last december. Firstly, it was a HUGE success and ughhhh!! it was sooo amazing!! celebrities, socialites and the media flooded the event. :-).

I am so elated!! my cruise collection titled "Sidewalks are Runways" is finally here!! my exhibition/sample sale is on the 19th of december 2010.
My inspiration for the Wana Sambo ‘Sidewalks are Runways’ Cruise Collection ’10 was drawn from the streets. On the sidewalks, you see every form of creativity, style and persona expressed through people’s outfits. This collection can be taken straight from the lookbook into a woman’s closet because it has a piece for every occasion. Work, play, boat cruise, chilling-at-friend’s, out to dinner, or just hanging out. I wanted to show the versatility of a collection with it still telling a story.

The shoot (for the lookbook which will be updated soon) describes the unspoken rivalry between humans, the quest for achieving more wealth, success or fame than another, which leaves us constantly on our toes or just head strong against one another. Here it’s the case of two friends who constantly want to be ahead of each other without realizing they end up doing the same things but expressing them differently. . .

They have now launched a book simply titled 'PRADA'. It has 708 glossy pages with the brand's signature saffiano texture. The beginning of the book has a 1920 briefcase from the early Prada line as you flip through the pages,the reader goes through time and sees the growth of Prada through their factories, raw materials, creation of shoes , etc. The almost century old brand has fulfilled most fashion student's dream, they have the chance to see the first editorials from 1987 to 2009. Every new year, in the fashion industry, marks the beginning of another fashion evolution! this year, SATIN is chic! its appropriate for day to night , work to play, and amazing for occassions as well! it can be the perfect run-from-the-train-station and into my-friends-fabulous-dinner party dress! as long as the silhouette is right and the piece is remarkably cut, i say invest in satin beauties,cos they are eternal and they do accentuate the female curves.
Satin is also known and termed as "for the rich"...when we wanna feel in power like the top fashionista's, for occassions, satin dresses is way to go! invest in one or more. i did! i got a herve ledger look alike and an awesome form fitting pink and black satin dress!

10 THINGS YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BEFORE ENTERING THE FASHION BUSINESS!

1. Dumb luck often trumps true talent.

2. Business travel is rarely fun!

3. Everybody really does know everyone else (and their privete business).

4. It really is like high school-but the "cool kids" are more judgemental/bitchy than any teen could ever hopeto be.

5. But many of the "cool kids" are surprisingly one of the nicest people in the world. (you never can tell.)...

6. Restful weekends and mere eight hour work day are for other people.

7. What happens in Vegas(or Barcelona) NEVER EVER stays in Vegas(or Barcelona.)

8. Unless you are also a model, your chances of meeting and marrying-or ever messing around with-a hot model are preety much zilch.

9. Even if you find immense sucess and move to a mansion, you still won't have enough closet space!

10. Like the Mafia, once you're in the biz, you're in it for life!...

Nudity is Art. i was looking at humans, or may i say, humans on magazines and on the internet(airbrushed or not), those chiseled facial and body structures... the amazing figures, and i came to a conclusion that art springs up from various sources. Art amongst its array of definations, has one as: "the creation of beautiful or thought-provoking works". for the right reason, nudity is acceptable for public displays, but for the wrong reasons,i hate public display of nudity. Those porno and sex crap displays make me wanna puke! Anyway, i adore the Creator(the Lord) for the finesse of our bodies and bone structures or may i say OUR SWAG!

hello blogville! i still do love blogging.. buh i had to go for NYSC and (some national service thingy!)... i'm kinda back though.. buh its gointa be a bit bleak for a while till i am settled.. the course goes on for a year and its worse than a regular job... nehoo, when i do have enough time(i pray i do soonest!!lol) i will go blogging again and keep in touch wiv my blogville family...

these pictures takes me back to my high school like-a-boy days... we all had backpacks, we loved cookies (except uhm, maybe u didnt.lol) and we all had a sneaker or two! or more... lol. i came across these fabulous cookies (by maria michaela)arranged alphabetically and i couldnt help but post them up! they look yummy, as delicious as these backpacks and gosh, these PURPLE REEBOKS! --if i were a tomboy! *sniffles* i would wear sneakers everyday of my life. But, sadly, these feet of mine were made for heels

these are amazing sandal shoes(thats what i'll call a fusion of the two peices.i'm in love with iregular choice(its a design label that specialises in sick and sexy and absolutely breathtaking sandal shoes!) all their shoes just make me wanna! i keep obsessing and drooling over them! thing is, i'm not and was never a fan of sandals until irregular choice, now, i'm addicted to sandal shoes... i think its the name(irregular choice) that puts me in a trance whenever i see a sandal shoe... their choice of name for their brand sure is an irregular choice i must say! and they do transfix you to make irregular beautiful breathtaking choices!! gosh, i'm mesmerized... help! cos i'm stalking stores in search of sandal shoes! plus i'm completely mooning over irregular choice stuff...these huskens by irregular choice are the highest! gosh! amazing STRUCTURES!

Gareth pugh is only 27!*SNIFFLES* and his designs are futuristically off the hook! Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben's forthcoming film 'Insensate', showcased Gareth Pugh’s award-winning A/W 2008 collection. Captured during Nick’s brooding and gothic ‘Dark Magic’ shoot for Dazed and Confused. Gosh, i know they are a bit wierd, but he's the only designer i see who's really comfortable with constructed garments worn as day/events/outfits. he tries to make constructed garments look effortless and chic. hmmm, how many more celebrities will be in gareth pugh soon? PLENTY! u know the way they jump on the bandwagon.(hahaha) anyway, miss beyonce(or sasha-whatever) seems to be loving the trend and sporting it as well.she wore it at the MTV EMA's and several events.
i just wonder what BEYONCE'S obsession is with those mettalic gloves though???...
